Boiler feed water The so called „Boiler feed water“ is stored in a feed water tank and continuously feeded to the boiler of a steam generator. A big quantity of feed water is needed for example in steam power plants. The boiler generates steam, which is used for heating, for chemical processes or for driving a steam turbine respectively a steam engine. The feed water is purified in a way, that all harmfull components for the boiler are removed or neutralized. Leakages and evaporation loss are compensated by additional water which is purified in the same way than boiler feed water. Very often, valuable well and potable water resources are used for the generation of process water. Environmental regulations restrict this usage of well and potable water continuously and increase the costs for this resources steadily. The conditioning of stream water to boiler feed water helps saving potable water and means cost advantages. The process of conditioning is based on ultra filtration with down

The needs of the power generation industry include year in and year out reliability, optimum performance for maximum efficiency, and absolute on time delivery to meet plant outage schedules. All of the Jet Flow Boiler Feed Water Heaters are designed in accordance with HEI standards, TEMA and ASME codes. Jet Flow uses state of the art computer programs to perform the thermal hydraulic and mechanical design of each Feed Water Heater we fabricate. Jet Flow designs and manufactures both Low Pressure (LP) and High Pressure (HP) feed water heaters which may be installed either vertically or horizontally, depending on the plant design requirements. Each Jet Flow Feed Water Heater will contain from one to three separate heat transfer areas of zones including the Condensing, Desuperheating and Subcooling zones. Our heaters can be provided with multiple zones within the shell side Condensing Zone Included in all heaters, steam is condensed in this zone and non condensable gases are removed.

We supply a range of Visible Sheet Polariser for a range of applications. All individually QA checked and metrology tested for quality to ensure parts meet customer specification. Supplied in a range of sizes and shapes with custom coatings tailored to meet your individual applications. Knight Optical supply precision optical components to customers within Consumer Electronics. Our Linear Polarisers linearly polarise unpolarised light and can block light that is polarised in the opposite direction. Linear Polarisers are often used in the production of LCD monitor and TVs. The liquid crystals act like a wave-plate, rotating the polarisation axis allowing them to control the amount of light from each pixel. They are used in a similar way for a photographer to prevent surface reflections from water. Our polariser sheets allow different levels of total light from a randomly Read PDF for more information...

Waste water treatment plants and surface waters have enormous energy potential. A sewage treatment plant, for example with 90 million litres of wastewater daily, reducing the wastewater temperature by using heat exchanger by around 1°C, generates a power of about 4.3 MW. The comparative potential for energy recovery from the surface water is even higher. Environmental aspect Induced by humans, water temperatures of the surface and streams have steadily increased, not least owing to the inflows from sewage water treatment. This has serious consequences on the flora and fauna. If heat is extracted from purified water in the sewage treatment plant or from surface waters and from streams, and water temperature is thereby reduced, this will have a positive effect on the entire ecological system. With KASAG heat exchanger systems, on the one hand, the energy requirement of the sewage treatment plant can be covered and, on the other, buildings in near vicinity can be heated or cooled.
