The QuadTac antennas provide 2-channel intercept and Direction Finding capability for a RESOLVE system. The Quadrant antenna provides detection of frequencies at the lower end of the HF spectrum (up to 32MHz) and is the largest and most accurate in the RESOLVE antenna range. It is ideal for Semi-Static configurations where it can be quickly deployed. When collapsed the Quadrant antenna fits into a custom carry bag and is easily carried by two men. The Acquisition and Geolocation Sensor (AGS) is a dual channel, wideband receiver, optimised to support the intercept and geolocation of modern commercial waveforms such as PMR, GSM and satellite-phones. The Canadian Department of National Defence has selected Chemring Technology Solutions’ Breach MC radio frequency initiator for use by the Canadian Armed Forces. Breach MC will enable specialised groups, such as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams, to remotely initiate explosive charges at close range for dismounted operations. Breach MC will be supplied via Canada-based distributor Deltic Group, with the contract valued at CAD 996,000. Mike Luedicke, Managing Director of Chemring Technology Solutions, said: "On operations there is usually little time available for EOD operators to dispose of IEDs. Breach MC gives them flexible options and will deliver to the Canadian Armed Forces a new system that is quick, convenient and safe, supporting them to achieve their mission more effectively."
