3,4-Epoxycyclohexylmethyl-3,4-epoxycyclohexanecarboxylate (ECC) is available generally in the liquid form. The color of the chemical varies from white to slightly yellow. ECC is in the category of cycloaliphatic epoxy resins. It is generally produced by employing the Tishchenko reaction of tetrahydro benzaldehyde followed by epoxidation with the help of a peracid. ECC has effective electrical loss properties, high heat-distortion temperature, and good weathering properties. The melting point for ECC is -37 0C.
