Diameters from 1,8 mm up to 30 mm! Our paper cords are made of high-quality craft papers and can be supplied in soft and hard version. Conditioning of cross spools up to 100 kgs. In additional the parallel wound cords can be supplied as rings or on plastic-, metal-, or wooden drums. By application of most commonly used wooden drums it is possible to use GarnTec filling strings in the stranding machines. The thinnest paper yarns in the world ! Paper cable yarns are used to obtain a regular air space between the copper conductor and the paper insulation. The yarns must have an exact diameter and may not become flat being wrapped on the conductor. Furthermore, the paper cable yarns can be used to exact standard measures as center elements or filling string. The raw material basis of our products are special celluloses of those the necessary special paper is made. For the thinnest yarns GarnTec is world class specialist and possessing the required know-how. In some sectors we are even sole supplier. Range of application: - telephone cable manufacturing - carpets and carpet bases manufacturing - candle wicks manufacturing (as substitute for lead or as reinforcement of the cotton fabrics) - insulation material manufacturing (as reinforcement) - Textile fabrics in combination with other yarns (e.g. for car seat and furniture covering)

Powercord is used to fill large voids in power cables by simultaneous longitudinally waterproofing in low, medium and high voltage applications. Powercord is available in semiconducting (Typ PSC) and insulating (Typ WBC) performance in the diameters of 8 mm to 50 mm, with very high strength in areas of 150 - 2000 N. Powercord is reaching a very high water absorption, depending on the diameter more than 10 liters / meter, even in sea water up to 2 liters / meter, is possible. Advantages: - Diameter and strength can be individually and quickly adaptable to any form of cable - Swellability and Conductivity of the material is adaptable to the cable construction - Powercord is up to 80 % lighter than other filling materials - Cables constructed with Powercord can be bent easily - Powercord can be used in the cable manufacturing process easier, because torsion can be compensated - Improved CO2 balance (up to 80%) compared to conventional cable filler in EPDM

In case of requirements for the cable construction applied material are constantly increasing. GarnTec therefore produces waterblocking yarns and waterblocking strings. GarnTec yarns can be used as binder or longitudinal as center elements or filling strings. GarnTec waterblocking yarns and waterblocking strings with paper inlay have been especially developed for longitudinally waterblocked cable constructions. In the event of water penetration, eg. damaged cable, the swelling substance of the yarn will be expanded at once and seal gaps and cavities along the cable and blocks a further water penetration. The damage will be limited - GarnTec waterblocking yarns and waterblocking strings minimize repair costs !

GarnTec waterblocking nonwoven react within seconds in case of an ingress of water! The waterblocking nonwoven by GarnTec are particularly suitable in order to achieve the required longitudinal water tightness of buried power cables, telecommunication cables, signal cables, long distance telecommunication cables and special cables. In case of an ingress of water cuased by damage to the cable sheat, our waterblocking nonwoven are reacting within seconds by forming a sealing gel material which locks the surronding cavities. Semi-Conductive waterblocking nonwoven furthermore secure the consistent electrical contact and a sufficent padding between the wire shielding and the external conductive layer.

GarnTec seperating tapes provide for a consistently good flexibility of the cables! Preferentially in flexible cables and control cables as well as in communication cables filled with petrolatum, the GarnTec separating tapes are especially suitable. Due to their texture, the separating tapes offer heat-protection during extrusion and provide for a consistently good flexibility of the cables. Furthermore, the wires inside the cables are protected due to the excellent padding properties of the separating tapes.

As climbing material for vegetables we have developed new twines made out of pure paper and viscose. The twines are available with1,7 mm Ø and a tensile strength of 45 kgs and a diameter of 1,6 mm and a tensile strength of 20 kgs and can be used for e.a. in tomato-, pepper- and cucumber cultures. This product is protected from the European Patent Law. The patent no. is EP 18 42 944. Properties: - the white colour reflects the light which the vegetables need for growing - comfortable in handling - bio-degradable, environmentally friendly - can be shared with a shredder - valuable compost, together with the vegetables - combusts residue-free - no costs for disposal after harvest - harmless for human and wildlife GarnTec Tendril twines are made from 100 % natural materials that do not contain plastics, PVC or other materials that are non bio-degradable. As a result our twines decompose completely. The yarns can be ordered in continious length on spools or wound on wire hooks.

Binding yarns with wire inlay Julius Glatz was 1912 inventor of the vine binding yarn. Beside the original application the binding yarn is also approved within other ranges. It is easy to handle: a grip - a trick - the binding is finished. GarnTec binding yarns are manufactured from nature-brown or colored craft papers, which are wound around the wire. The binding yarns are pollution free and biologically degradable. They are available in diameters from 0,8 mm to 3,0 mm with wire inlay between 0,38 mm and 0,7 mm. Our yarns can be delivered in cut length from 10 to 60 cm, wounded on handy rolls or according to your wishes. Decoration Yarns made from paper - Creation in all colours! GarnTec Decoration-Yarns are suitable for tinkering or in the floristic due to the simple handling. Manufactured from paper and fine wires our yarns are pollution free and biologically degradable. Diameters of 0,8 mm with 0,4 mm wire or 1,5 mm with a wire inlay of 0,4 mm or 0,6 mm are available. The yarns will be supplied on coils with different length. Naturally we can supply cut length, multiple yarns, paper tapes and paper cords for decoration.
