Other types of steel are commonly used in the production of seaming chucks for Easy open covers, especially for those chucks that suffer from a weak chuck lip.

CVD coating is typically used for Stoody seaming rolls and chucks. Its main feature is its superior adhesion to the base steel, which provides a high resistance against wear and corrosion.

PVD coating is commonly used on seaming chucks made of steel.

This coating is typically applied on seaming chucks and rolls and it extends their life up to three times. Surfaces coated with DIAMOND 98HRC have a very low friction coefficient, and as a consequence they have very high anti pickup features. Therefore, rubbing is reduced, and seams can avoid peeling.
