It is no secret that Sri Lanka had a war for well over 30 years since late 70’. During these 30 Years, most of our Sri Lankans sacrificed their happiness for the survival of the Tourism Industry. We lived with the dream of ending this unfortunate war and coming to a day with prosperity. When most of the industry members were leaving, since they couldn’t meet the minimum requirements, some of the industry members stayed back and sacrificed there happiness to service the industry. These sacrifices have supported the country to have an average of 30% repeaters during the height of the war and existence of the industry during the bad times.These repeaters came every year as they were treated like Kings & Queens with our “Rich Sri Lankan Hospitality”. These numbers were increased year on year since late 70’ as they thought that they were safe in Sri Lanka though the war in Sri Lanka was an everyday news around the world at that time.
