Direct acting solenoid valve are operated directly with the force of the solenoid and due to the same even in 0 bar inlet pressure or 0 bar differential pressure between inlet and outlet port such valve can fully open or close. Generally, as here solenoid force is used, generally this force is counter with the pressure force and/or spring force to Open or Close the solenoid valve. Due the same it has a limitation on the combination of orifice and pressure rating it can provide for a given solenoid force.
