A J Services manufacture a range of access doors which has been designed in order to gain safe access to to ducting for the inspection of elements and routine cleaning. The access doors are manufactured in galvanised steel but can also be made in 304 & 316 stainless steel as well as aluminium ranging in size from 50mm to 2000mm and produced in a variety of styles: tabbed, flat oval, spiral/circular and pressed access doors. All with a depth of either 25 or 50mm depth and can include additional safety features such as chains.

AJS supply a large range of dampers differing in style which provide varying safety features in ductwork systems which are connected to heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems from fire safety to regulating the air flow. There are various different styles of damper which can be used for different styles of application dampers include butterfly, non return, fire, smoke, constant and blast gate plus many more. AJS supply the highest quality fittings and fixtures needed to complete a full heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. Duct fixtures and fittings stocked include spiral tubing T & Y pieces, bends, branch saddles, cap ends, flanges and couplers to manage the air flow through the ducting and connecting elements of ducting systems.

Grilles, diffusers and plenums are designed for extraction and supply of dirty polluted air from a room or space and conditioned air from ducting. The components can be connected to heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems easily and all meet regulatory body standards. All components are available in different sizes as well as varying finishes in order to be non intrusive and fit to the stylistic features of the building. Grilles, diffusers and plenums can be used in both commercial and industrial buildings.

AJS supply high quality steel slotted channel and the additional products which will ensure they are fitted to solid fixtures securely and remain safe. The slotted channel which is available is supplied in 3 lengths: 3, 5 and 6 meters and varying dimensions. All of the required additional fixtures are also supplied: channel brackets & plates - such as window brackets, top plates and tee brackets. channel end caps, channel nuts, channel set screws, feet and washers.

Filters play a vital role in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems within the ducting. When airborne pollutants enter the duct they pass through the the filter which allows for the air to continue to pass through but traps the microscopic particles and does not allow them to pass back into the the building when the air is recycled.

Flexible ducting helps in many ways in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems: they can be used areas where rigid spiral tubing can not be used as it can easily be shaped and bent into position, work as a way as connecting opposing tubes, as well as allowing a channel in the extraction of air. The flexible ducting is capable of withstanding both high and low temperature which range from -30ºC to +140ºC - not all styles of flexible ducting is able to so is best to speak to an adviser. Lengths are are sold in 10 meter lengths and different styles which are suitable for different applications these include: aluminium, insulated, grey, acoustic and semi rigid flexible ducting.

Fire and Smoke Dampers play a crucial role in the safety in ducting connected to a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. They prevent the spread of fire and smoke through ductworks. Fire and smoke dampers are known as shut off dampers this is because the blades inside the metal panels will close and allow no additional air to flow through - the blades are forced to shut, this happens because of a fusible link which is set to trigger at It is a legal requirement to have these dampers tested at a minimum once every two years. Failure to do so can result in a fine, prison sentence and closure of business premises until rectified. AJS offer this essential fire safety service of a full fire & smoke damper testing and certifications with nationwide coverage. All test are carried out by fully qualified and trained technicians. Testing will include: Identify and locate each fire damper Retrofit access doors if any of these are inaccessible Carry out fire damper test
