This shielded cabinets includes, as irradiating source, a directional X-ray generator from the very well-known and efficient Baltospot range. These cabinets are generally made of a steel structure with lead reinforcement to assure a proper shielding against radiation outside of the confined area («sandwich» type assembly: steel-lead-steel). Every single element of the installation is configurable and highly flexible to be used in different applications in digital radiography. The system is built around a robot for the detector/source movements in order to provide the user with every possible inspection angle that could be required and that can be fitted on the main manipulator. All sequences of inspection can be manual with a digital axis manipulation or automated with the Inspection Suite of software, allowing the user to simply load the part inspection process and press start. It is not only automated but can also be installed with the ADR module which will considerably increase the efficiency and speed of inspection.

The optional database add-on will use a SQL database to store sequences and index the images metadata (DICONDE only). The same database can then be used from IPS to quickly retrieve images using a search engine.
