History of APE Engineering GmbH Company building APE Engineering GmbH. APE Engineering GmbH's route from one-man-enterprise to thriving medium-sized company with an annual turnover of roughly 2 million euros. Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Prasuhn's immediate idea on founding his company in 1989 – a barrel lifting truck for 200 l channel drums – was in the spirit of the times. This now nostalgic barrel lifting truck was the foundation of the APE modular system. Reduced workload for employees in workshops and production facilities in all industries. The range of machines on offer covers manageable barrels, drainage barrels, castors, containers and bulky goods right through to the nuclear industry, where humans should no longer come in contact with radiation. APE occupational safety objective: Taking heavy loads away from humans, through to monotonous work that can be automated. For example, emptying bags, draining barrels and emission protection in particular.
