The Black Mission fig produces large fruit and has heavy bearing. This popular fig variety comes from Spain. It produces sweet pear-shaped fruits that have a purple-black skin with red flesh and excellent taste. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, drying or canning. Harvested after mid-August.
