Control and Packaging Unit for Stock Lenses

The Automatic Packaging Unit for Semi-Finished Lenses is dedicated to large scale packaging requirements of progressive semi-finished lenses. It packages 720 lenses per hour by choosing the correct plastic cup and box type out of ten cup choices and five box types. After being correctly matched to cup and box, the lens is packaged and sorted into 24 double magazines of 15 packaged lenses each, according to several different criteria that is operator set. Through the use of this machine with the Fully Automatic Pad Printing Unit for Semi – Finished Lenses, complete control and packaging is obtained with almost no operator intervention. By adding several options of diameter, center thickness, and curvature measurements, the machine can be used for packaging single vision and multifocal semi-finished lenses.

The Dispatch Packaging Unit for Prescription Lenses is a large scale production machine which gathers both prescription lens envelopes (right and left), a delivery note, ID card, and cleaning clothe along with other accessories; and places them into a larger dispatch envelope. Optional is the automatic sorting between different destinations to reduce and optimize shipping times and costs, while the completely automatic packaging prevents any mispackaging. With the capacity of the machine up to 300 jobs per hour (depending on the materials loaded), the machine can be installed behind the Automatic Packaging Unit for Prescription Lenses.

The Focovision by Transmission SPV-3 is used in prescription laboratories. It is connected to your computer network, from which it receives the nominal values of the prescription lens. Its main advantages are repeatability, accuracy, easy calibration, and especially its visualization system of the semivisible marks or the upper segment line corner of the addition. This system permits an accurate positioning on the different control points without any lens marking. It measures the lens optical power by using a light beam perpendicular to the concave lens surface at a certain wavelength (546 nm or 587 nm) and by measuring in all directions (360 degrees). Identification & Inking Unit for semi-finished lenses (type MITSF) The new concept of MITSF machine is designed to identify and print progressive and multifocalsemi-finished lenses. The PPOS system, integrated in the unit, detects the μ-engravings or the upper segment line and identifies the semi-finished by reading the identification code (check of product code, Addition, base, eye, logo at the edge or under the μ-engravings) by Optical Character Recognition. The inspected lenses are then inked by a robot, permitting a large flexibility in image choice (10 plates – 20 images). The data of this machine can be transmitted to the automatic packaging unit, eliminating any product mispack.
