Milling – a type of machining in which the rotary movement is always performed by the tool, and the feed movement (depending on the design of the machine tool on which the machining is performed) is also performed by the tool or by the workpiece. The machine tool on which the milling is performed is called a milling machine.

Turning - a type of machining most often used for machining external or internal surfaces of objects in the form of rotational solids or axially symmetrical solids / contours. It is also possible to obtain shapes other than rotating by turning. Turning involves separating a layer of material from an object with a turning knife in order to obtain the desired shape and dimensions. A lathe is a machine tool designed for external (turning) and internal (boring) surface machining.

EDM electric discharge treatment - a metal treatment method based mainly on the exploitation of electrical erosion accompanying electrical discharges. It is mainly used in the processing of specialized machine parts and other difficult-to-cut materials, as it allows for obtaining complex shapes, difficult or impossible to be machined (e.g. internal sharp corners and / or threads in hardened material or carbide), there are also no forces here cuts affecting the workpiece (although there is an impact on the outer layer, which makes further processes difficult, such as polishing). EDM machining includes EDM, anode-mechanical and electro-contact machining. The machining is carried out on cutting machines, saws or anodic-mechanical grinders, etc. It is used for the treatment of sintered carbides and for shaping and regenerating plastic working tools, e.g. forging dies, injection molds.

Injection molding - plastic molding technique consisting in injecting plasticized material into the mold, in which it solidifies (solidifies) in the so-called a molding (fitting). Injection molding (shortly: injection) is a cyclical process of processing plastics in the form of granules. There is also a variation of injection molding in which not the finished granulate is used, but a prepolymer and an agent causing it to polymerize during the molding process. This type of injection is called reactive injection molding. The injection molding process is carried out in special devices called injection molding machines. Injection is used to mold thermoplastics or thermosets.
