IP67 D-SUB Connectors Standard/High Density

Connector systems able to meet special demands are needed for industrial use in harsh environments. The water resistant connector system developed by CONEC is intended for applications where dust and water are factors. Corresponding accessories, such as water resistant hoods and protective caps are available. CONEC Solid Body and CONEC SlimCon D-SUB connector series were a consequent development to establish a D-SUB connector familiy which is especially designed for application in harsh industrial environment. The one piece body - made of zinc diecast - provides outstanding mechanical robustness and protection against splash water and dust under aggressive conditions.

The IP67 D-SUB SlimCon series are supplements to the IP67 D-SUB connector family. The CONEC SlimCon series has a very compact design of IP67 sealed D-SUB connectors with a one-piece zinc die-cast shell. The panel cut-out for the CONEC SlimCon series corresponds to the standard of other D-SUB connectors and thus no new cut-outs are required and refitting from standard IP20 systems to the new IP67 system of the CONEC SlimCon series is possible. The one-piece zinc die-cast shell makes the new CONEC SlimCon D-SUB connector a mechanically extremely robust interface with reliable IP67 protection – similar to the CONEC Solid Body series. However, due to its design, a reduction of the occupied space from 48% to 52 % compared to a standard IP67 protected connector can be achieved. Owing to its compact design and the one-piece zinc die-cast shell, the CONEC SlimCon series is ideal for industrial and harsh environments.

CONEC Combination D-SUB Connectors with IP67-rating are suitable for use in environments where increased protection against moisture and contamination is necessary. All IP67 protected Combination D-SUB Connectors are supplied already populated with signal, high voltage, high power or coaxial contacts. This is necessary to provide factory assurance that the connector is properly sealed thus ensuring its reliable protection in harsh environments. The type of protection is defined by IEC 60529 which also specifies the suitability of electrical components for various ambient conditions. CONEC water resistant connectors ensure a continuously secure connection compliant with the IP67 rating. They are dustproof and protected against temporary submersion into water.

CONEC IP67 D-SUB Solid Body connector series was a consequent development to establish a D-SUB connector familiy which is especially designed for application in harsh industrial environment. The one piece body - made of zinc diecast - provides outstanding mechanical robustness and protection against splash water and dust under aggressive conditions. The connectors are available as D-SUB Standard versions with solder cup, solder pin straight and angled terminations and with a variety of mounting options. A broad range of High Density and combination versions complete the program as well.
