JEWISH HERITAGE TOURS OF BUDAPEST

Budapest has the largest Jewish community in Central Europe, with an active religious, artistic and historical heritage. It is home to many of the city's sites of Jewish interest, such as the Synagogue Triangle. The other two points are the Rumbach and the Kazinczy Synagogues. The Dohány Street Synagogue, also known as the Grand Synagogue is Europe's largest and the world's second largest temple. The Kazinczy Synagogue is the only Orthodox temple in Budapest and on Kazinczy is the city's only ritual bath, or mikveh. Within the same building complex as the Dohány Synagogue is the Jewish Museum as well as other sites such as the Temple of Heroes, the Tree of Life, the Wallenberg Park and the Carl Lutz Memorial can be found nearby on Dob Street.
