Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is an extremely versatile material which is created by bonding fine hardwood and softwood fibres with resin and compressing them under heat to the panels. Hardwearing, inexpensive and free from defects found in natural timbers such as splits or knot holes, MDF is a popular choice of material for cabinet-making, retail displays, exhibition stands, display plinths, theatrical scenery and decorative furnishings such as doors and radiator covers.
