Oryx Desert Salt was founded in 2008 by Samantha Skyring. The inspiration of this brand comes from her powerful face-to-face encounters with the Oryx during her 5 month journey through Namibia. Our salt is naturally harvested from a salt pan within the remote pristine Kalahari desert. Only using what nature provides, Oryx Desert Salt is unrefined and unprocessed, a 100% pure, crystal white natural desert salt. Our salt is dried by the desert sun, as nature intended, no additives, no anti-clumping agents and no preservatives. Kala Namak salt comes from India and is widely used in Indian cuisine as a spice and an addition to spicy sauces. Eagerly used in a vegan and vegetarian diet.
