Pit covers made by Thodacon are exclusively designed for your application using our proven standard technologies. The covers can optionally be walked on and can be equipped with various drives, for example with an electric motor, for winding and unwinding the apron. On request, we can also design special wishes, such as special sensors or oversizes.

Molded Wipers are made of NBR or FPM with a molded steel plate, which acts as a carrier for the rubber. Due to a specific mold, almost any shape up to a width of 900 mm and a length of 1800 mm can be realized. The used materials meat the highest requirements of modern machine tools such as resistance against coolants and in case of FPM: resistance against acid and temperatures up to 210°C.

Tailored Wipers are made of different Standard Profiles. Those profiles are cut and either welded or sticked together. A customized shape can be realized in short time without investing in a mold.

In close cooperation with machine manufacturers from all over the world, thodacon GmbH develops, manufactures and improves telescopic steel covers for all requirements, suitable for a wide range of different machine tools. Whether horizontal, vertical, oblique or transversal - there is no installation situation for which there is no optimum thodacon cover. Difficult guidance geometries or unfavorable space conditions in special machines are solved by individual constructions. The covers impress with their robustness and reliability.

Individual textile bellows with and without protective lamellas in almost any desired shape and extent offer a cost-effective and flexible machine or guideway protection. A typical standard application for these products is the cover of linear guides or flat guides. Various synchronous mechanisms and damping variants are available for highly dynamic applications.

Compact - minimal compression: With its new designed geometry microFIN feather elements interlock with the bellow elements. This enables the whole construction to achieve a compression of 2,4 mm per lamella. In comparison to regular bellows which have a relatively high compression rate, the whole machine stroke can be greatly enlarged. Anti-Scratch: With its unique coating at the bottom of each fin (lamella), scratching is prevented and the lifetime of the cover is increased significant (up to 70%). Additionally it increases the tightness against coolants and chips. (available for lamellas up to 1500 mm width) Exchange: Each lamella is removable from the bellow - corpus without disassembly of the whole cover systems. This is achieved by a plug connection between corpus lamella and protection lamella. Damaged lamellas can be removed easily and cost-effective. Fabric: Due to its modular construction, an additional fabric can be added to the cover system.
