Hamon Research-Cottrell provides process and equipment expertise, drawn from more than fifteen years of experience with the patented Urea to Ammonia U2A® technology, starting from bench and pilot scale, through systems for small gas turbine SCR and the largest utility scale SCR systems for coal and gas fired boilers.Hamon Research-Cottrell’s U2A® system provides several benefits:Urea as feedstock eliminates the hazards associated with the transport, transfer and storage of toxic anhydrous or aqueous ammonia.Compared with using 19% aqueous ammonia, energy use is reduced.Process control response provides ammonia on demand, easily following load conditions.Hamon Research-Cottrell offers U2A® on a worldwide basis and has installations in Europe and the Middle East in addition to a large installed base in the United States.

The gas cyclone belongs to the mostly applied technical separators, because it has applicationwise some fundamental advantages. One of them is certainly the fact that its construction does not show any movable components. For the large variety of different kinds of dispersed (particulate) phases (for example dust particles, metal chips, wooden waste, liquid droplets) and different gas conditions (pressure, temperature) the lay out and computation of a cyclone is still a complex task. Suvis has specialised in the development and lay out of cyclone separators and can offer professional solutions and consulting in the area of gas cyclones. Many years of experience gained through numerous cyclone development projects results in optimal solutions for our customers. A cyclone separator applies centrifugal forces and represents an effective apparatus for separating gas, liquid or solid particles from a continuous phase in chemical, process or environmental engineering.

Gas Detection Systems use Interference Bandpass Filters to identify the emission of a type of gas. Different gases emit at a specific wavelength which makes it identifiable when using a relevant Interference Bandpass Filter. These wavelengths are: Carbon Monoxide (CO) @ 4.73μm Nitric Oxide (NO) @ 5.24μm Nitrogen Dioxide (NO₂) @ 6.17μm Sulphur Dioxide (SO₂) @ 7.42μm Hydrogen Chloride (HCl) @ 3.55μm Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) @ 10.7μm Knight Optical provide a wide range of interference bandpass filters that can be used with gas detection. The Interference Bandpass Filters would be need to transmit in the infrared region. These would be a customised item, which we are very experienced in. We provide narrow, standard, broadband and extra broadband filters with a high optical density of 4 as standard, however this can be customised for you. For more information read PDF
