This very compact optical system with an original design allows two groups of lenses to be moved perfectly coaxially over several millimeters. Based on the known Diamond ZEUS D50 Fusion splicer, which provides fast, easy, and high performance field terminations of Splice-On Connectors (SOC), we have developed a new Kit with the aim of simplifying the field repair or termination of outdoor connectors. The Kit contains everything that is needed to prepare, handle and splice tough outdoor/military and industrial cables with an outer diameter of 3 mm to 8 mm, including a cleaver and an automated stripping machine with heated jaws. Once the cable is fixed on a sliding holder, all three operations can be carried out without additional cable manipulation.

The special feature of the new DiaFlex fan-out connection is that the fiber whips can be removed and replaced via a connector system in the divider. This provides greater flexibility in the installation of fiber-optic networks. Cable ends can be replaced flexibly, quickly and without spending a great deal of time or money, and cable installations can be extended as is necessary. Thanks to the feed-in cap, which has a small design, preassembled cables can be inserted directly into pipes or cable ducts. There is therefore no need for expensive splices. The cable and the fiber whips are manufactured in the fiber design and quantity that you requested, inspected and delivered with the corresponding test reports. Diamond offers High Temperature (HT) fiber optic metal assemblies developed specially to withstand operating temperatures beyond the range of conventional plastic connectors over extended periods. The HT assemblies rely upon a combination of specialized assembly techniques and materials, together with special fibers with appropriate coatings suitable for deployment in harsh environments. Diamond HT solutions’ benefits extend to temperature applications up to 150° C (302°F) for use in severe conditions within industrial, military, aerospace, off-shore, telecom, and other environments. The HAW569 surge arrester is used to protect electronic components in field devices from being destroyed. It ensures that overvoltage surges which occur in signal cables (e.g. 4 to 20 mA), in communication lines of Field buses (HART, PA, FF) and in power lines are safely passed into the ground. The functionality of the electronic component to be protected is not affected as, using the impedance-free connection of the protection unit, interference voltage drops cannot be introduced.

When combined with the new optional spot taping unit, the bt 188 T binds both wire ends using cloth or PVC tape. The bt 188 T is capable of twisting two to four wires with excellent results. The parameters can be adjusted as required, which the machine then uses to automatically calculate the required cut length. For example, you can vary the final twisted length, the pitch length, the wire cross section, the outer wire diameter and the open ends. Alpha 488 S produces fully automatically Twisted-Pairs out of two single bulk wires completely cut-to-length and terminated, with all quality controls included. The modular composition of the system provides superb flexibility. Four processing stations at the wire beginning and two at the wire end offer extensive processing possibilities. The machine layout accommodates up to six processing modules. Wires with cross sections ranging from 2 × 0.22 mm² (AWG 24), optionally from 2 × 1.3 mm² (AWG 26), to 2 × 2.5 mm² (AWG 14), (processing set short open ends up to 2 × 1.0 mm²) can be processed in the highest quality. Alpha488S is available in the versions of four, seven and ten meters.
