Z.I.T. COMPUTING MACHINERY WORKS was established in 1967 as a state-owned, Bulgarian-Japanese venture in the field of electronics and it was the first local producer ofcomputers. Our products were well known in the former USSR, China, India, Cuba, Finlandand the Arab world. In 1997 the company was transformed into PLC, and since 2000 it has a status of Ltd., 100% privately-owned company. At present, the company manufactures electronic cashregisters with fiscal memory for the Bulgarian, Romanian, Serbian and African markets. The company has recently diversified its services by establishing a Laboratory for Certificationand Testing of electrometers. Laboratory clients are Bulgarian and British electrometers’ manufacturers.
