The materials that we use for manufacturing include stainless steels, chrome-nickel steels and super duplex such as 1.4410 or 1.4501, as well as high-temperature nickel-based alloys such as Inconel 2.4856 or Nimonic 2.4952. The company was founded in the 1890s by its namesake Ernst Thomas as a typical ironmongery for the region. Back then, production focused on fittings for wooden crates and forged tools for poking furnaces. After a patent was obtained for the "Muldensteinschraube" (a special screw designed to be used as a fixing point during concrete casting, DIN 529, shape F) in 1909, the focus of production shifted to hot forged and cold formed fasteners. Today, production mainly comprises hammerhead bolts, eye bolts, anchor bolts and special bolts for the construction and mechanical engineering industries. Very long lengths, special sizes, small quantities and short delivery times are our speciality.
