De construction identique à la très réputée série Buccaneer 900, les connecteurs de la série EXP sont IP68 (testés sous 10m d’eau durant 2 semaines) . L’étanchéité est assurée par la bague de fermeture, sans accessoire supplémentaire. En l’absence du connecteur l’étanchéité est assurée par un bouchon imperdable (retenu par un câble en acier). Capacité de raccordement jusqu’à 4 mm², la fixation ne nécessite pas d’outil spécifique. Les connecteurs EXPLora sont conformes à la norme ATEX Ex II 3 GD, ZONE 2 et 22, avec le numéro de certification: «Baseefa09ATEX0232X». Ils sont utilisables partout où ces risques d’explosion peuvent exister : ambiances poussiéreuses, présence de gaz ou de vapeurs.
