NEDEX is producing polyisobutylen based hotmelt secondary sealant MELTEX for insulated glass industry in Istanbul/Turkey. It is specially designed to reach very low gas and moisture penetration rates. Just as butyl sealant, hotmelt secondary sealant is one component sealant for IG units. NEDEX hotmelt sealants have very good physical and chemical properties, is easy to process, and ensures optimal resistance to low and high temperatures. It has good properties in terms of resistance and adhesion. Gas leakage rate is optimized with NEDEX hotmelt. NEDEX hotmelt sealant is completely suitable for IG units with good energy efficiency.

NEDEX produces solvent-free primary sealant PIB-996 based on polyisobutylene for the insulating glass industry. The formulation has been specially developed to achieve very low gas and water vapor penetration rates. The product is compatible with Nedex secondary sealants. The solvents most commonly used in the formulations of secondary sealant formulations based on polyurethane and polysulfide show no signs of migrations with Nedex primary sealants. However, intensive compatibility tests according to EN1279-4:2018 should be carried out before use if PIB-996 is not used together with Nedex secondary sealants PS-018 and KU-83. PIB-996 has a very good adhesive properties on glass and metal. The effect of heat leads to a significant softening of primart sealants. Neverthless, PIB-996 shows good stability even at temperatures around 100°C and does not flow out of their position into the space between the panes. PIB-996 has also been certified according to EN1279-4:2018.

NEDEX insulating glass secondary sealant ARCOL is a 2-component, solvent-free adhesive/sealant with SH-bonding ends (polysulfite). The rheological properties of the product make it suitable for manual and robot processing. ARCOL adheres to glass, aluminium, galvanized steel and stainless steel without the use of primer. For other products, such as coated glass, glass from which the coating has been removed, treated spacer profiles or profiles made of other materials; relevant trials must be carried out to ensure the product's suitability. The use with polycarbonate or polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is not recommended. It is produced only for insulated glass manufacturing. NEDEX produces polysulfide based sealants named KU-83, PS-018, PS-002 and ARCOL. NEDEX polysulfide sealant is produced to be used in insulated glasses.It has very low permeability water and gas. It has very advanced chemical properties. Polysulfide sealants are recommended to be mixed with a volumetric ratio of 10:1 for A and B components. NEDEX warm edge spacers (NANOBAR) have lowest Σλd- and Ψ-values. NANOBAR has maximum number of perforation holes for a better IGU performance. Nedex warm edge spacers can be produced in widths between 8-24 mm. The extruded part of spacer which gives the shape of spacer is produced by UV resistant plastic compounds with three different rigidity factors named by Nanobar, Nanobar-F and Nanobar-R. The colour of plastic part can be white, grey RAL7035, grey RAL7040, grey RAL9023 and black. Their stability and material specifications make their processing in bending lines possible. They can even be installed in IG units, which are under extreme external loads. Metallic and nonmetallic coatings at the backside of warm edge spacers guarantee perfect tightness against water vapour and argon permeation. Aluminium spacers are the first types of spacers manufactured by NEDEX. In order to meet the requirements of various markets, aluminium spacers are produced in many dimensions for insulating glass. Aluminium spacers are made for cut & plug applications, with plastic corner connectors and for machine bending with metallic straight connectors. The thickness of the aluminium materials varies from 0,18 mm for lower thermal conductivity and cost efficiency to 0,35 mm for bendability and strength.There are different sizes of aluminium spacers with a nominal width of 6 mm and 24 mm. NEDEX secondary sealant MELTEX hotmelt butyl (hot melt sealant) is a 100% solids, single-component sealant designed for the sealed insulating glass industry. It is formulated from butyl rubber, synthetic polymers and elastomers to give outstanding adhesion to glass and aluminum when fabricated manually or reactivated in semi- automatic equipment. The product is resistant to degradation from ultraviolet light, temperature extremes and water immersion. MELTEX hotmelt butyl is is compatible with inner sealants of NEDEX such as KU-83B and PIB-996. They can be used together, there will be no chemical reactions. Integrated loading arms with suction cups load the glass sheets from the stock stand automatically.
