Every year, Germany produces around 10 million tonnes of cardboard and paperboard for the packaging industry. After their use, these items of cardboard packaging and boxes must then be reduced in volume before passing through the recycling process. This volume reduction step is performed by recycling companies and public recycling depots or in cardboard packaging and corrugated board factories. Reasons for volume reduction: For these requirements, ERDWICH has developed a specialised product range – the EKZ and FKZ cardboard shredders – which can be supplied in a range of sizes. The ERDWICH plant items have been designed as a perfect match for downstream transportation systems. The EKZ has two shafts with independent drives: one high-speed shredder shaft and one slow-speed feed-in shaft. We are the manufacturer of the PET plastic insert for crates for grapes, plums, apricots, peaches, nectarines, etc. fruit. The inserts can have dimensions of up to 1.5 m and a width of 12 - 15 cm, depending on the customer's needs. An additional option is wave at the top of the insert. PET inserts with or without print. PET inserts are 180 mic / 200 mic thick. They are packed in 1,000 pieces per box. A declaration of compliance for contact with food is issued for each production.

Embossed paper cushion pads for packaging of vegetables and fresh fruit. Interlayer sheets for fruits and vegetables are soft, flexible and environmentally friendly. Composed of Kraft paper from 1 to more layers, it is used as a protective packaging during transport to divide and wrap fruits and vegetables inside crates, to protect and preserve fresh products from outside pressure and internal shocks. From farmers to retail distribution, we can provide solutions for paper packaging that optimize storage and extend fresh products life. Our paper cushion pads retain humidity and provide good hygrometric indexes to preserve freshness and flavours of fruit and vegetables. All our papers for fruits and vegetables can be supplied in custom cuts and can be printed with your brand. We produce protective pads optimal to extend the life and maintain the quality, flavor and texture of the fresh fruit. Our paper pads may be used as interleaves in food manufacturing.
