Weldable round belts made of PU and TPE are available in various Shore hardness grades and diameters for transport and powertransmission. Many belts are foodapproved (FDA/EC/USDA) and have various special properties for particularly demanding applications (eg. antistatic, lowtemperature, UV resistance, low elongation, metal detectable). Hollow round belts should be welded just like solid belts. In the case of a breakdown, fitting connectors can be used for a quick repair, until the belt can be welded once again. Another advantage is the flexibility of the belt for small pulley diameters.
