BUSHBLOK™ is a briquette that is useful for cooking, brais, fire places, stoves and open fires. Compared to standard firewood, BUSHBLOK™ are much more economical, as they are value priced and burn longer. They are not only classified as smokeless fuel, but the amount of ash left after the fire is extinguished is minimal. Cheetah Conservation Fund & CCF Bush Pty Ltd is a Namibian company specialized in the manufacture of wood fuel briquettes for industrial and home heating trademarked as BUSHBLOK™. They are produced by extrusion process, using wood chips as a raw material. All the wood we use comes from sustainably managed woodland. Our goal is to sustain wildlife, in particular the cheetah's environment. Indeed Namibia is home to the world's largest population of cheetahs. We harvest thickened bushes to restore the natural habitat. In addition, we promote the growth of a biomass industry and uses of biomass products in Namibia. Our products have the advantage of being economical and affordable since they burn longer than unprocessed wood. They contain no additives and emit little smoke. They are made from 100% natural products : they are evironment-friendly and their ecological impact is high and positive. It is our way of providing employment and benefits for local labor forces.
