The chainflex® bus cables are available for all well-known industrial bus systems such as Profibus, Interbus, Profinet, Ethernet, CAN-Bus, DeviceNet, ASi or CC link. Depending on the cable family, they can be used for torsion, for severe climatic conditions, for narrow radii, or particularly long travel distances, at high speeds and accelerations. Tested in the igus® laboratory with millions of cycles in e-chains®, they provide guaranteed safety against failure. -Bending radii up to 7,5xd -Jacket materials: PVC, iguPUR, PUR or TPE -For flexing applications -For medium duty applications -For extremely heavy duty applications -For twistable use -For heaviest duty applications in rail vehicles -For increased tensile load -Overall shield Flame retardant

Initiator cables, also referred to as sensor/actuator cables, connect control units and different sensors, or, in the case of reversal of the measurement principle, actuators. Frequently used abbreviations include ini or ini cable (plural: inis). Sensor or measurement transducers transform physical quantities such as rotation, speed, distance or length into analogue electric impulses. In the case of an actuator, the measured electric current (symbol: I, unit: ampere; A) or voltage (symbol: U, unit: volt; V) is transformed into temperature, pressure or torque. The connection cable consists of at least three cores with a small cross-section of between 0.14mm² and 0.34mm². In the simplest case, two cores are required for supplying the voltage, while the last core transmits an I/O signal. For sensitive applications, there are shielded versions in addition to the traditional ini cables to avoid EMC disruptions (electromagnetic compatibility).

readycable® harnessed cables are ready-to-connect cables for use in energy chains®. As manufacturer and harnesser, igus® provides everything from a single source, thus reducing throughput times and the number of suppliers. The portfolio includes an extensive range of catalogue products, including cables harnessed according to manufacturers' standards and diverse industrial standards as well as individual singly or series produced components. Numerous types of cable of different qualities, with different approvals and with different certifications of conformity are available to choose from. All components are subjected to extensive quality checks and functional tests.
