POLIFILM is offering a wide assirtment of transparent, white, black and black / white films fort he protection of PVC- and aluminium profiles. Films composition as well as adhesive selection depend upon our customers` specifications. PVC profiles are typically protected by transparent, white or black / white films. Natural rubber based adhesives perform very well for these applications when combined with UV absorbing / blocking films. Natural rubber adhesive systems prevent film lifting during profile cutting and handling. For aluminium profiles mainly black / white films with customer print as well as occasionally black films are used. Our product range includes product with weather resistance between one month and twelve months.

POLIFILM is offering surface protection films, that perform well for carpets for exhibitions. We also offer solutions for the protection of thermally formed automotive carpets, where high temperature resistance is required. For treated carpets POLIFILM developed a range of films with even higher adhesion levels. We supply solvent based acrylic solutions as well as environmentally even more compatible water borne adhesive systems.

POLIFILM surface protections films have been successfully used for the protection of decorative laminates for decades. Depending upon the gloss level of the laminates low adhesion level films (for high gloss surfaces) or higher adhesion films (for rougher finishes) are used. Typically transparent films are used as they allow quality inspection of the decorative surface without a need to remove the films for this process. For 2D and 3D applications with special requirements we offer several solutions. Co-extruded, uncoated protection films present a good solution for these requirements.

Our research and development teams are permanently searching for ways to improve our surface protection films. New film components and new adhesive systems are developed to meet changing customer requirements in order to offer solutions which are “as good as necessary” and economical. One increasingly important area is the product range expansion of coextruded, uncoated films. About 50% of our research and development investment is allocated to this product group. This complements our experience with proven adhesive systems such as natural rubber adhesives, which present another core expertise of POLIFILM since decades. Our continuous investment in modern machinery and equipment generates benefits for our customers as well as for POLIFILM. Only these investment enable us to provide the optimum protection film quality for a wide range of applications served. Apart from a high and consistent product quality we pay attention to a professional application engineering support. This we ensure that the most suitable solution for the specific customer requirement will be identified systematically and in close dialogue with our customers, who appreciate this individual support and advice.

In addition to adhesive coated protection films, POLIFILM is also offering coextruded, uncoated yet self-adhesive films since more than 12 years. These protection film solutions combine the film manufacturing process (film extrusion) and the adhesive extrusion in one process. The traditional process requires typically at least 2 steps. This co-extrusion process presents a clear productivity gain also for our customers. We develop co-extruded protection films together with our partner, who has a long time experience in the development and production of cast films. Our joint technological experience presents an ideal platform for the development of ever more demanding requirements of our customers now and in the future.
