The steel pipes used in the manufacturing of pre-insulated pipes are manufactured longitudinally welded (ERW) or spirally welded (SAW) in accordance with the norms required by the standard TS EN 253 or customer demands. Pipes comprise three basic materials. Carrier pipes are established as steel, copper or plastic based according to the properties of the carried fluids. Casing pipes are manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE) raw material, with UV resistance, 100% waterproof and with online corona. PUR ( POLYURETHANE INSULATION MATERIAL) that is injected between the carrier pipe and casing pipe provides heat insulation besides enabling two pipes operating as one pipe by bonding them together.

The maximum temperature strength of standard type pre-insulated pipes is 140 °C. For this reason, rock wool reinforced (industrial type) pre-insulated seamless steel pipes must be used in lines that are required to operate at higher temperatures such as hot water, hot oil and steam lines.

PPR-C pipes manufactured in TS EN 15874 standards and PN 10 – PN 20 pressure ranges are preinsulated pipe types.

Pre-insulated Glass Fibre Reinforced (Composite) PPR Pipes

HDPE pipes manufactured in TS EN 12201 – 2 and TS EN 253 standards and between PN 2.5 – PN 25 pressure ranges are one of preinsulated pipe types.

Galvanised steel pipes, which are resistant to and all kinds of wear such as corrosion etc. compared to black pipes, are manufactured as pre-insulated to prevent heat loss when used in service water installations, fire hydrant lines and boiler lines.

Pre-insulated stainless steel pipes have higher corrosion resistance and oxidation strength compared to other steel pipes. It has a wide range of use such as the food and dairy industry, maritime industry and chemical industry. The preservation of heat in the lines used in these fields is provided by pre-insulated stainless steel pipes.

In addition to its high conductivity and machinability, due to its suitability for processes such as soldering, welding, etc., and its easy formability, copper pipes have a wide range of use such as sanitary installations, solar energy systems, and air and oil installations. As a standard, we can do insulation on copper pipes between diameters of Ø15 – Ø80, as well as in different diameters upon request.

GRE and GRP pipes have advantages such as lightness, corrosion resistance, high pressure strength, and they are manufactured as pre-insulated under the brand of Yalcın Boru. GRE (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) Pipe GRE pipe is resistant to the abrasive effects of caustic substances and acid concentrations due to its chemical composition. For this reason, it is used in fire, drinking water and cooling water transmission lines, power plants and industrial waste water systems. GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) Pipe GRP pipe is a type of pipe that does not corrode, has insulating feature and can operate in a wide range of pH. Drinking water and clean water transmission lines, piping lines of chemical plants and circulation lines of power plants are among the prominent areas of use of these pipes.

Ductile cast iron pipe is a pipe type preferred in main transmission lines since it has superior properties such as corrosion strength and abrasion resistance as it is made of cast iron, as well as being able to stretch without deformation. In regions where the temperature is low, freezing frequently occurs on the main transmission lines, especially in winter. Such problems can be avoided by using pre-insulated ductile iron pipes.
