MAHYTEC was set up in 2008 and is involved in many research projects. It has made a name for itself with the general public primarily through its hydrogen-powered thermal lawnmower, used by DOLE's neighbourhood management and a hydrogen-powered coffee maker used by the Swiss Federal Railways that provides an uninterrupted electricity supply to a drinks trolleys for the production of hot beverages for travellers.
