When the optics company, Carl Zeiss, discussed outsourcing the “signage” activity, I, Matthias Wetzel, seized the opportunity and founded Matthias Wetzel INDUSTRIEBESCHRIFTUNGEN GmbH in 1999 in the form of a management buy-out. This enabled me to realise my vision of an efficient signage centre. What began with four employees has now grown to become a team of almost 40 staff.
