About 2500 years ago filosopher Empedocle from Agrigento affirmed that the universe is created from four elements: earth, water, wind and fire. Probably these elements are not the foundation of the universe, but certainly they are the foundation of our earthenware tiles and bricks. We are Stefano and Petronio Stefani, Company owners’ since the end of the ’70s and successors of a family tradition which goes back to the sixteenth century. Since then we produce handmade tiles and bricks using a mixture of rainwater and clay from our mine; no other material is added. The moulding is totally hand-made, inserting and pressing the wet clay in wooden plates. The following procedures, the key to the creation of an excellent product, are also handmade, according to an ancient technique which dates back to Etrurians. The firing process in a centuries-old wood kiln takes several days. In this way, the tiles and bricks obtained are aesthetically exquisite and everlasting, and can be fully considered organic products, suitable for green building. Moreover, they are excellent natural acoustic and thermal insulation material. In our 40 years of experience we did not only join the restoration of old rural houses and old town centres or manufacture high quality residential buildings, but our cotto also had the privilege to contribute to the restoration of a lot of monuments of worldwide importance.

Five key features on MiKoffee that make it a unique gourmet brand: MiKoffee is Direct Flame Roasted - We direct flame roast our coffee using natural Italian oak wood. This process is different from wood roasting where the drum is heated from outside to roast the coffee. Direct flame roasting is better than other types of roasting, but has long been discarded because it is harder, more difficult to get right and cannot be mass produced. It is because of these reasons that we choose to keep roasting in this manner, whilst all others switched to other methods. MiKoffee has a distinct roast flavour. As the flame of the burning oak touches the beans to roast them, it also gives the coffee a distinct taste that no other roasting can give. MiKoffee is a traditional product: we use our 65 years old Vittoria to roast the coffee and still use the same traditional methods. MiKoffee is a limited production product, because of our production limitations and because there are no more 1952 Vittoria machines, there is a limit to how much coffee we can roast unlike other roasters. MiKoffee is a gourmet made in Tuscany brand - we have been producing quality coffee for 65 years in Montecatini, a city close to Pisa, Chianti & Florence. Old tradition sicilian farm, located in the centre of mediterrinean sea, by the foot ot mount Etna (biggest european active volcano). We produce 600-800 tons/year of: Navel and Valencia oranges, mandarine tangelo Primosole, Myagawa satsuma, mandarine Nova, clementine seedles, madarino di ciaculli, and the famous peculiar sicilian blood orange (IGP Protected Geographical Designation) Tarocco and Sanguinelli. We sell just fresh fruit, when they are ready to be picked up, in the season from september to april. Mediterrinean climate, with sunny hot days and cold nights, coupled with volcanic soil, give to our citrus fruit, a typical sweetness and taste, that is very difficult to find enywhere in the world. We export, packed fruit in wooden box of 10 kg, or loose fruit in wooden box of 15 kg.
