For the purpose of preserving and enhancing the experience of working under the Soviet watch brands, the founders of NIKA saw the need to purchase machines and production lines, as well as organising new jobs for these skilled professionals. The NIKA brand encompasses priceless experience, and sustains the traditions that have opened up a new start for watchmaking in Russia. Right from the beginning the company has specialised in the production and development of carbide tools, wear parts and watch components made from highly resistant materials, and diamond and CBN grinding tools. DIAMETAL FRANCE started business in Oltingue in 1973, and DIAMETAL ITALIA in Busto Arsizio in 1995. Since January 2009, DIAMETAL has had its own subsidiary in Nanjing (China).
