Quend® is an extra high strength structural steel with yield strengths between 700 and 1100 MPa. It is used for lightweight applications having to withstand high loads. Like Quard®, the Quend® plates are produced at NLMK Clabecq, where they are treated in a state-of-the-art Quenching and Tempering unit. WORKABILITY Easier to process The way of making our steel slabs, of rolling our plates and heat treating them gives to Quend (and Quard) specific mechanical properties that leads to a superior workability.
