Sapphire (Al2O3) is one of the hardest minerals and optical materials available for use in the range from UV up to 5µm. Sapphire is birefringent and if its use is for critical optical application then the crystal might have to be cut along the zero degree plane, or C-Cut. Random cut is usually cut along a plane that is 60° off-axis as the growth in this direction is the easiest to grow. Random cut is anything that is not the C-Cut angle. Sapphire can fluoresce depending upon the concentration of other minerals within the lattice, for example Iron (Fe) or Chromium (Cr). Clear Sapphire might fluoresce orange when illuminated by UV light if impurities are in the crystal. It is highly wear resistant; it has classic design and is of high quality. In contrast to the chairs produced from chromium, plastic or glass, the kitchen bar chair is produced from solid wood. And it can be also produced in accordance with our customers’ measures.

The Cernoflon series is a line of structural cylindrical bearings that generally allow rotations of ±3° around only one horizontal axis. Inside the bearing there are two different sliding surfaces made of either stainless or hard-chromium plated steel, which make contact with the PTFE: one surface is cylindrical to make rotations possible, and the other is flat (absent in fixed-type bearings), to allow translation movements. Horizontal loads perpendicular to the rotation axis are conveyed through the cylindrical sliding surface the concavity of which is dimensioned accordingly. The use of Cernoflon bearings is recommended whenever a high degree of stiffness against transverse rotations is considered necessary, a characteristic also typical of the Rockflon series. Their elongated rectangular shape along the rotation axis is especially suitable if there is limited space available in the perpendicular direction to the rotation axis.
