PVC granulate is a semi-product designed for further industrial processing (extrusion / co-extrusion, injection, moulding, coating). It is made from mixtures of plasticized / non-plasticized polyvinylchloride and respective admixtures according to final use requirements.

Granules are products of a wide variety of glazes. They are compact and round in form. They are sufficiently strong to be handled and used. As is the case with granito, granules are manufactured in standardised particle-size ranges and improve both appearance and physical properties of the piece to which they are applied. The most usual sizes offered are inferior to 2, 1.5, 1, 0.75 and 0.5mm.

Fatra, a.s. – the traditional plastic processing company in the Czech Republic – expanded its production facilities in 2015 by processing internal and external plastic waste on a new re-granulating line. We offer polyolefin re-granulates produced on modern re-granulating lines, plastic waste processing from PP, PE, PP/PE, EVAC materials, and plastic waste buyout.

Volumetric cup fillers enable the volumetric dosing of granular products. They can be fitted to all models of vertical form fill and seal machines and are offered in two series: 6 cups or 12 cups. Both models are equipped with a feed hopper with controlled outlet, a product level sensor, a series of cups made of food-grade material, a fixed lower cup carrier and, in automatic mode, a height-adjustable upper cup carrier with cup level sensor. The product is unloaded by gravity at the inlet of the packaging machine and, for fine products, the unloading system is equipped with a flap that prevents the product from spilling.

The auger feeder series enables the volumetric dosing of powdery products with fine granulation, which can sometimes present problems of compactness, dust content and variable density, such as cocoa, curry and other "powdery" products. The various problems associated with processing the products are solved, starting with feeding the product through a hermetically sealed hopper equipped with a level sensor and a motorised agitator. The screw, made from a single solid mass, has an electronically controlled speed by means of a servo motor, which allows the use of acceleration and deceleration ramps that ensure an immediate screw stop, thus guaranteeing optimum dosing accuracy.

NOVOPLAST – plasticized PVC The title NOVOPLAST ® indicates plasticized PVC granulates. It is a mixture of various additives combined suitably according to its further use. The most important additives to plasticized mixtures may in addition to PVC and plasticizers include thermal stabilisers, lubricants, separation agents, filling agents, pigments, flame retardants, light stabilisers, antioxidants, various modifiers, etc. The content of plasticizer in the mixture is determined by final hardness of the mixture. Hardness of resulting mixtures ranges from 45 degrees on the Shore A scale to the hardest Novoplast – 60 degrees on the Shore D scale. Silica Gel Bulk orange features a moisture indicator. When the moisture percentage exceeds 20% RH, the granules will turn from orange to green/blue. When the silica gel is saturated and has attained a green/blue colour, the granules can be heated (up to a maximum temperature of 80 °C; higher temperatures than that would destroy the silica gel granules) until they have turned orange once more. In this manner, the silica gel granules can be reused. The orange silica gel is environmentally friendly and harmless. The gel does not contain any heavy metals as indicator and is free of DMF (dimethyl fumarate).

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is one of the most widely used polymers in the world.
