Recyclable waste - Import export

The purpose of HSM (High Shear Mixing) technology consists in devulcanizing rubber waste for reintroduction into the production chain. This patented process applies to any kind of uncontaminated rubber production waste. REP has developed a machine dedicated to this process. The installation and maintenance of the machine are supported by the REP network.

Over 30 years ago, in a time when ecology was unknown to general industry, this activity established one of the first full service departments of Matco nv. Since its beginning, Matco chose to apply circular economy and the cradle-to-cradle principle, even long before these terms were even invented. All those years of experience taught us to offer ready-made solutions within the multitude of chemical industries, in order to ensure recuperation and valorisation of ‘problematic’ cases. Considering its strategical location (at 100km from the port of Antwerp (B), at 200km from Rotterdam (NL) and at 200km of Le Havre (F)) and the logistic platform, Matco is perfectly situated for the storage and transhipment of products for the chemical and textile industries. At the end of 2006 Matco initiated a very ambitious investment programme on production capacity and storage capacity. Matco disposes of 11,000m² whereof a 6,000m² warehouse and a 3,000m² production hall. The company has all required licences in accordance with the strictest environment, health and safety regulations.

Matco contributes to the circular economy by processing every waste stream into new raw material, or by converting it in energy, as well as in its own installations as through external processing sites.
