Eddy-Current Brake Dynamometers (WB Series) are ideal for applications requiring high speeds and also when operating in the middle to high power range. Eddy-Current Brakes provide increasing torque as the speed increases, reaching peak torque at rated speed. The dynamometers have low inertia as a result of small rotor diameter. Brake cooling is provided by a water circulation system, which passes inside the stator to dissipate heat generated by the braking power, providing high continuous power ratings (max. 140 kW). The WB dynamometers have accuracy ratings of ± 0.3% to 0.5% full scale (± 2% for WB 2.7), depending on size and system configuration. Additional options include: high-speed version, speed pickup, mechanical rotor blocking device, OEM version IS and vertical mounting.

Option: Equipment for fuel consumption metering on big engines for automatic gravimetric determination of the specific fuel consumption (sfc).

Particularly for testing passenger car engines, truck engines and transmission units with combustion engines, when - the electric mains is too weak for frequency converters, - cooling water is not available or water-cooling is not desired, - air-cooled eddy-current brakes are not sufficient.

MPW Modular with air-cooled eddy-current brake, particularly for testing smaller electric motors smaller slowly running 1-cylinder engines drive units of e.g. two-wheelers. Essentially, three different types of construction may be distinguished: 1. MPW Modular for combustion engines and electric motors (primarily 1-cylinder combustion engines) 2. MPW Modular for foot-mounted electric motors 3. MPW F for flange-mounted electric motors Special designs, e.g. for foot- as well as flange-mounted electric motors may be offered on request. MPW engine test beds are available in four sizes with different load-carrying capacities (0,5 ... 40 kW).

The Active Brake Line includes DC single-disc brakes, in which the action of force of an electromagnetic field (electromagnetically closing) is used to generate the braking force. The Active Brake Line is characterized by a secure, residual moment-free lifting in any position, and by a backlash-free transfer of the braking torque. Throughout their complete service life, they require little or no maintenance.
