The RFID chip has a unique serial number (UID), the encoding defines the cardholder and makes duplicates or forgery almost impossible. Additional protection against forgery can be a hologram on the card. The Plastic card is usually printed in Offsetprint CMYK first and personalized afterwards. The personalization can be made directly before issue of the card by a card printer.
