The ESX-3IOS is a CAN-I/O module for the extension of the inputs/outputs of a master control unit via CAN. The communication with the master control unit takes place via CANopen, CANopen Safety, the STW protocol ECeS and J1939. The ESX-3IOS fulfills the safety requirements laid down in SIL 2 and PL d. For safe communication, the CANopen safety protocol and ECeS are supported. In addition to the Wake-up via terminal 15 / D+, Wake-up can also be carried out via CAN. Due to the robust aluminum die cast housing, a total current of up to 12 A can be implemented. The ESX-3IOS has over 16 inputs and 15 outputs.

With the ESX-MBC, we present a new CAN-J1939 module especially for the agricultural and construction machine sector, to control electric motors and actuators in a performance range of up to 200 W. It provides four fast PWM half bridges (each 10 A) with current measurement and two further digital power outputs (each 4 A). Of these, two half bridges respectively, which can be combined to form one motor full bridge, and one digital output are supplied via a safety relay (max. 15 A per safety relay). The module also possesses four multifunction inputs, one module identification output, one digital output and one fixed voltage output for sensor supply. All analog signals are processed with a 12-bit resolution.

The ESX-IOXp is a small, compact and freely-programmable control unit from the 16-bit control unit family. Due to its compact construction, it mainly facilitates the automation of small machines and attachment devices. The control unit can be used optionally with four LS outputs for the realization of motor bridges and with four PVG outputs. It features an XC2287 processor with 80 MHz by Infineon and 768-kB Flash, 1-MB-RAM- and 8-kB EEPROM memory. Software The application software for the ESX-IOXp can be created highly efficiently either in "C" or in CODESYS V2.3 IEC61131. In the programming interface, numerous convenient functions such as current controllers and ramp functions for outputs or frequency averaging for inputs are integrated.

The ESX-3XM is a robust and efficient control unit. In addition to the ESX-3XM ((X = Expandable, M = Medium)), an ESX-3XL (X = Expandable, L = Large) is also available, which approximately accords with a double ESX-3XM with regard to the construction size and the number of inputs/outputs. The ESX-3CS is a compact, robust and efficient control unit. In addition to the ESX-3CM, an ESX-3CS (C = Compact, S = Small) rounds off the third generation of ESX control units. The “C” stands for “Compact” and indicates that all pins are fixed assigned prior to the hardware definition. The functions of these pins can be defined in more detail using software. The ESX-4CS-GW is the first control unit of the fourth generation. The new platform is in turn based on the current AURIX family by Infineon. This AURIX family contains multicore and single core processors. The ESX-4CS-GW (C = Compact, S = Small, GW = Gateway) is equipped with a multicore processor with four internal processors. Three of these cores are available for the creation of your application. The fourth core serves as the lock step core for safety-oriented applications. Furthermore, the processor is equipped with the following internal memories: 8 MB Flash, 2 MB RAM and 32 kB EEPROM. An external 16 MB flash memory is also available. As the device was designed as a central gateway module, six CAN interfaces are available in addition to the five Ethernet interfaces, four of which represent an Ethernet switch for mobile applications. Furthermore, the device can support CAN-FD. The number of I/Os (12 x In, 6 x Out) has been adapted to the concept of a gateway module.
