Advantages Reform High Speed Grinder This REFORM grinder consists of well-proven modules. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that our machine does not have a moveable table with the rotor. On our machine the rotor will be kept stationary while the grinding and measuring units are moveable. All components of this machine are from well-known German manufacturer. Most of the spare parts are available also on a local market of our customer. The machine is specifically designed for High Speed Rotor Blade Tip Grinding, therefor the machine will have several advantages, such as: — higher rigidity — especially advantages of grinding small and big rotors — smaller floor space consumption — compact machine design

CNC polishing of compressor blades and vanes to optimize flow efficiency while at the same time minimizing differences due to tolerances in blade geometry. This is essential to the balancing of the compressor rotor and the fit of the stator parts. The SPE allows to keep up with the demand of this for the latest F-Class & H-Class Gas Turbine Compressors. The SPE CNC-Machine allows automatic polishing of all rows of the Gas Turbine Compressor, as well as most rows of Steam Turbine Blades within tight tolerances and highest repeatability. A dedicated CAD/CAM software allows for generation of NC part programs. As the SPE is a cartesian type machine tool there is no need for referencing or time consuming in process gauging. The precision and repeatability of the process allows the balancing of the milling process to leave a rougher scallop on the blade and save valuable time and cutter on the milling side. Capable of polishing compressor blades, fan blades and vanes up to 550 mm in length.

The key to successful power generation through wind is efficiency, and industrial aluminum is playing a key role in making wind turbines lighter. Working together with our partners, we’ve created a smaller, lighter tower casing behind the rotor blades, as well as an innovative aluminum enclosure for the turbine’s generator that is lighter and more efficient than fiberglass composite housings used previously. This housing reduces fire risk thanks to aluminum’s incombustibility and helps cool the generator due to aluminum’s thermal conductivity, extending the aluminum enclosure’s functional life. It also maximizes the unit’s recyclability and protects the generator from lightning, since the aluminum acts as a Faraday cage and is non-combustible in the event of a lightning strike.
