Due to statutory requirements, different sectors of industry require alternatives to the metal systems. The corrosion resistant hoods reliably protect conveyor belt, roller bearings and the material conveyed against the weather. They can be easily removed at any location so that the conveyor belt can be inspected and then replaced. CONEC SnapLock hoods come with a locking system for quick and easy locking. Time-consuming screwing of the hood to the mating connector is no longer required and thus a long lasting connection is made without losable screws. Due to the audible and tangible “click”, even poorly visible device interfaces can be locked quickly and safely. CONEC SnapLock hoods are available in black or metallised plastic material in shell sizes 1-5. The hoods come with one straight cable entry and depending on the number of poles one or two side cable entries. With an upgrade kit, existing interfaces are also compatible with a CONEC SnapLock hood. The CONEC SnapLock system also allows a hood-to-hood connection.

For industrial applications in harsh environments, connector systems meeting such special requirements are needed. For our IP67 connectors are special hoods in plastic or plastic metallized available. Our hoods can also be combined with a broad range of applicable accessories of the CONEC programm for shielding, sealing and securing of connections and interfaces. For applications requiring not only IP protection, but also protection against electromagnetic interference in sensitive signals, CONEC offers a metalized version with shield connection at the cable strain relief.
