Timothy Hay is the perfect choice for leisure horses in rest to moderate work. Our Timothy Hay is our lowest energy (calorie) product with sugar levels typically analysing at <10%, while also being high in fibre to help satisfy the appetite. This makes it the ideal choice for good doers, native types, those convalescing, veterans and those with any clinical history which mean a low sugar ration is required (such as laminitis). Although low in sugar, Timothy is still highly palatable and therefore can be used in addition to other forages to add variety, particularly with fussy feeders.

Topinambur can be used for a huge variety of purposes such as fresh fodder in winter or as a special treat for dogs and cats. The tuber is rich in nutrients, e.g. inulin. It is particularly popular to use the tuber as horse feed. From the perspective of nutritional physiology, it is also sensible and advisable to use it for cats, dogs and pet rodents, but also for livestock such as cattle, poultry and pigs.
