ECC is in the category of cycloaliphatic epoxy resins. It is generally produced by employing the Tishchenko reaction of tetrahydro benzaldehyde followed by epoxidation with the help of a peracid. ECC has effective electrical loss properties, high heat-distortion temperature, and good weathering properties. The melting point for ECC is -37 0C.
