Thrust ball bearings are separable axial bearings. Features of thrust ball bearings: ideal for reduced and medium speeds they bear relatively high axial loads separable and easy to assemble Single direction thrust ball bearings can accomodate axial loads in one direction and thus locate a shaft axially in one direction. Double direction thrust ball bearings can accomodate axial loads acting in both directions and thus serve to axially locate a shaft in both directions. These bearings, in both versions, have been designed to withstand only axial loads and must not be subjected to radial loads of any kind. IKO Thrust Bearings consist of precisely machined cages and rollers. They have high rigidity and high load capacity and can be used in small spaces. Thrust Needle Roller Bearings use needle rollers, while Thrust Roller Bearings use cylindrical rollers. Various types of raceway rings are available, and can be selected according to the operating conditions. When the bearing mounting surface of a machine is heattreated and finished by grinding, Thrust Bearings can be used without raceway rings, making the machine more compact. They are best suited for applications where high accuracy is required at high speeds and under fluctuating heavy loads, such as the drive mechanisms for automobiles, machine tools, and highpressure pumps.

These bearings consist of a cage made from a steel plate, which is precisely press formed and surfacehardened, and needle rollers with a diameter variation within 2μm. They have a rigid structure and a high lubricantretaining capacity. As they have the lowest sectional height compared with other thrust bearings, they can be used instead of conventional thrust washers and can withstand highspeed rotations with a low coefficient of friction.

In this series, the caged cylindrical rollers, AZK, and the complete bearings, AZ, in which AZK are combined with an inner ring (WS) and an outer ring (GS) are available. The cage has a special precise structure which is highly rigid. The cylindrical rollers are outwardly arranged and guided by the cage with exact precision to enable them to withstand heavy loads, even at high rotation speeds.

IKO Combined Type Needle Roller Bearings are combinations of a radial bearing and a thrust bearing. Caged Needle Roller Bearings are used as radial bearings and thrust ball bearings or thrust roller bearings are used as thrust bearings. They are compact and very economical, and can be subjected to radial loads and axial loads simultaneously. They are widely used for machine tools, textile machinery, and industrial machinery.

Single row deep groove ball bearings can support both radial and axial forces. Our double row deep groove ball bearings feature a higher radial load carrying capacity. They are used when the radial load carrying capacity of single row deep groove ball bearings is not sufficient. Axial deep groove ball bearings are suitable for supporting particularly high axial loads. They are available in both single and double direction. Single direction thrust ball bearings can only support axial forces, while double direction thrust ball bearings can support both radial and axial forces.

KFB-Clarfeld thrust ball bearings are manufactured as single and double direction models. Ball bearings of the series 511, 512, 513 and 514 are single sided, the models 522, 523 and 524 are double sided. Thrust ball bearings are composed of shaft washers, cage washers, and cage assemblies. The bearings are separable; cage assembly and bearing washers can therefore be fitted independently of each other. Both models tolerate high axial forces, however, they may not be radially stressed.

Material Schulz Stanztechnik manufacturers these axial ball bearings using the materials suited to the specific application. For the housing, steel, brass or stainless steel are used; for rings, steel or stainless steel which is always hardened. The balls are made of chrome or stainless steel, which is also always hardened. All material combinations – depending on their conditions of use – are possible for the assembly of the individual parts. Various surface coats for the individual parts can be supplied as well as finished bearings: brass which is uncoated or nickel plated; steel and stainless steel which is uncoated, zinc plated or nickel plated. All bearings are available lubricated or unlubricated. Structure DLG100 axial ball bearings consist of sheet metal housing, two hardened rings as well as hardened precision balls. Due to their structure, we refer to them as an encapsulated, full ball design.

The bearings are separable. This means the bearing parts can be fitted independently of each other. The main dimensions of the axial ball bearing conform to ISO 104 and DIN 711. Dimensional and running tolerances correspond to tolerance class PN acc. to DIN 620. These tolerance classes are standard and are well suited for most applications.

Ceramic bearings Si3N4. Bearing cage PTFE. For most applications Si3N4 is the preferred material for ceramic bearings. Silicon nitride bearings are light, very hard and highly wear resistant. High and ultrahigh performance bearings are used in e.g. aerospace technology, metal production industries (high application temperatures), machine manufacturing, chemical industries (chemically aggresive substances), pharmaceutical and medical industries, semiconductor and biotechnology (clean room enviroments which may not be contaminated by lubricants). Version 2Z = sealed both sides with noncontact labyrinth seals. 2RSR = sealed both sides with contact lip seals. Note Deep groove ball bearings accept high radial and axial loads. Axial loads are absorbed in both directions. The versions 2Z and 2RSR are lubricated for life with a high quality grease. The main dimensions of the deep groove ball bearings conform to DIN 6251. Dimensional and running tolerances correspond to tolerance class PN acc. to DIN 620. The radial internal clearance corresponds to the clearance CN acc. to DIN 6204. These tolerance classes are standard and well suited for most applications.
