Black MDF Board is pretty much a standard MDF board that has been dyed throughout with a black pigment during the manufacturing process. Cut it, shape it drill it, machine it, the end result is a black faced, black core MDF board. Black MDF wood panels are made by a number of companies including Valchromat, Fibracolour and Spanalux. We have access to all three manufacturers products however, we currently only stock the Spanalux black coloured MDF version. Our Black throughout MDF sheets are available in a maximum, untrimmed size of 2440mm x 1220mm and thicknesses of 9mm, 12mm, 16mm 19mm and 25mm. Finishing Black Core MDF To further enhance your project we can, upon request, supply our Black Dyed MDF panels with a laminated finish from a number of suppliers, in a wide range of colours. We can also provide Black MDF panels cut to size and clear lacquered in a water based PU coating, if required.

Flexible MDF, or bendy MDF, as it is also known, is an MDF panel that is grooved on the rear which allows it to bend, with minimal distortion, around existing curved surfaces or curved formers. Commercially, it is popular with architects and exhibition stand designers to create curved walls, bespoke reception desks, counter fronts and retail display furniture. Domestically, it can be used for curved home bar units, curved kitchen islands, custom built TV/HiFi furniture, and other features and furniture elements around the home. Flexible MDF comes in to two thicknesses, 6mm and 9mm. Two sheets can be glued together to provide extra rigidity and increase impact resistance. Pine Furniture Board is a non-structural, factory made, panel product which is constructed from narrow strips of Scandinavian Pine timber. The strips are planed along their edges and then edge glued together to form wider boards. The boards are then planed to a consistent size and then cut to their finished width and length before leaving the factory. Our “standard” pitch (the distance from the bottom of one groove to the next) options include 75mm, 100mm, 150mm, and even a variable, random pitch option. Not all MDF panel products are made equal, in fact there many varieties of MDF, each having its own specific purpose. Our White Moisture Resistant MDF board is specifically designed for use as a pre-finished board that can be used in areas that are prone to moisture or occasional wetting. This product features all the qualities of standard White Melamine faced board, easy to work with, easy to machine, clean cutting (when cut correctly) and the ability to take an edging. The obvious advantage is that it can be used in environments such as kitchens and bathrooms without the risk of swelling caused by the ingress of moisture.
