Pyroprotect is a flame retardant impregnant for wood with excellent weather resistance properties. Suitable for processing new and wood preservative-treated wooden surfaces, not suitable for surfaces treated with film-forming coatings (lacquers, paints, oils). Pyroprotect is used extensively in rail applications where timber sleepers are exposed to flammable liquids, debris and then sparks from power rails. Pyroprotect is applied at ambient temperature by brush, roller or spray applied there is no requirement for heat treatment or specialist pressure treatment.
